Ashley Walters is series director on new Disney+ series "A Thousand Blows"

New Disney+ series A Thousand Blows premieres today, 21 February 2025, and what a series it looks to be! It's the latest drama from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, and we're excited to announce that Yakker Ashley Walters is one of the series directors for this gritty new show.

Set in Victorian London, this six-part series follows Hezekiah Moscow (Malachi Kirby) and Alec Munroe (Francis Lovehall), two best friends from Jamaica who arrive in London seeking a better life. They become entangled in the city's underground boxing scene, facing challenges from seasoned fighters and criminal elements.

As Hezekiah sharpens his new skills, he comes up against Sugar Goodson (Stephen Graham), a seasoned and dangerous boxer. The two are soon locked into an intense rivalry that spills out way beyond the ring.
